Located midway between Australia and Hawaii, with the Pacific Ocean in its surroundings, Tuvalu is the island country of Tuvalu. It has a total land area of 10 square miles, and it lies along the Polynesian subregion, together with many stunning islands, namely the Santa Cruz Islands (east-northeast), Vanuatu (northeast), Nauru (southeast), Kiribati (south), and Tokelau (west).
Formerly, people would referred to Tuvalu as Ellis Island. There, carrying cash is the way to go because credit cards aren't acceptable and there are no ATMs around. The Australian dollar is its local currency, and the Tuvalian coins in circulation feature marine life on one side and a photograph of Queen Elizabeth II on the other.
