Serbia, formerly part of Yugoslavia, is a nation located in the west-central part of Balkans. Belgrade is the capital city of Serbia, and it is known to be home to some precious medieval architectural structures. Besides such structures, the country is known for some of the most famous restaurants in the larger Europe. In terms of governance, Serbian republic, as it is currently constituted, is a parliamentary democracy.
The country's population comprises Serbs, Roma, and Hungarians, with Serbs constituting the majority of the population. In the early 1990s, its death rate surpassed the birth rate, and it is little wonder that the country has an aging population.
