Avanti Studios has closed a EUR 5 million investment round, bringing its total seed funding to EUR 10 million. The money arrived just before the launch of its first live casino games, which were due later in June 2026.
How Avanti's tables work
Avanti captures real dealers' movements with motion capture and uses AI and 3D rendering to turn them into digital croupiers that host games in real time. The approach removes the usual limits of a physical studio: floor space, staffing and the number of tables that fit in a room. Operators can open several custom tables at once and run them in different languages.
For players, the host on screen is a rendered character built from a dealer's captured movements, and the table is a 3D set. That is a different product from a filmed live dealer table, even if the game rules are the same.
Investors, first operator and distribution
Genting Casinos UK backed Avanti's first round and returned for this one. Co-founder Gustaf Hagman said the backing shows "a belief in the future", and co-founder Jonas Delin said the studio believes "the future belongs to real-time, lifelike, interactive digital humans."
Avanti's first commercial agreement is with Luckia.es in Spain. A partnership with Light & Wonder is set to bring the games to more regulated markets. Light & Wonder closed its own live casino business in late 2025 and said it would focus on aggregation, which is the role it plays here.
How many players take to digital croupiers is still an open question. The first launches will show whether the format holds attention the way a filmed table does.
