Online gambling in the Czech Republic has been regulated since 2017 with the amendment to the Gambling Law. The legislation applies to all forms of gambling including live dealer casino games, aiming to ensure that all players have a safe gaming experience.
The amendment also introduced the Czech State Supervision of Gambling and Lotteries (CESUH), the central body responsible for overseeing the licensing, regulation, and taxation of online gambling and live dealer casino sites. All operators in Czech Republic must obtain a valid license from CESUH before offering online gambling services.
To play at a live dealer casino, both operators and players must have a valid Czech license. Players must be over 18 and licensed operators must provide players with information on responsible gambling, as well as enforce limits on deposits and wagering.
