Texas Hold'em is a variant of poker that is played with two to ten players. Each player is dealt two cards face down (known as "hole cards"), which are kept secret from the other players. Then, five community cards are dealt face up on the table. These cards are shared by all players. Players use their hole cards and the community cards to make the best 5-card poker hand they can. The dealer ensures that betting follows the correct clockwise sequence and that all action is completed before dealing the next card. At the end of the game, the player with the best hand wins the pot.
