Texas Hold'em is based on the classic game of poker. The aim of the game is to create the best possible poker hand (using the two-card pocket cards and five community cards) and beat the house. The player must also try to win the pot, which is the sum of all bets placed by the players in a given hand.
To start the game, each player is dealt two face-down cards (their hole cards). After the hole cards are dealt, the first round of betting starts. The player can decide to fold, call, or raise. The player with the highest-ranking hand or the player who has placed the highest bet will win the pot at the end of the round.
After the first round of betting, the dealer turns over three community cards, which are shared by all players. This is known as the flop. The second round of betting begins and the players can now use any combination of their two hole cards and the three community cards to create the best possible five-card hand.
The dealer then turns over the fourth community card, known as the turn. The player can now use any combination of their three hole cards and the four community cards to create the best possible five-card hand. Again, the player can fold, call, or raise.
The dealer then turns over the fifth and final community card, known as the river. The player can now use any combination of their four hole cards and the five community cards to create the best possible five-card hand. The final round of betting begins and the player can again fold, call, or raise. After the bets are placed, the player with the highest-ranking hand or the player who has placed the highest bet will win the pot.
