Live casino bonuses: what each type is worth at live tables

A casino bonus is built for the games that count towards its wagering. For live players the question is the weighting: how much of each live bet counts. At 10%, clearing a bonus takes ten times the betting.

The pages below cover each bonus type from a live player's side. The calculator shows what a weighting means for your stake.

Live bonus maths Example data

What a welcome bonus is worth if you only play live

Welcome bonuses can count live bets at a fraction of their value. The rows use example terms: a 100 bonus with 35x wagering on the bonus.

The weighting decides the value more than the bonus size. At a 10% weighting every live bet counts as a tenth of a bet, so you wager ten times as much and the house edge works on all of it.

10% $35,000 −$271−$845 a live rate you may meet in casino terms; the expected loss is several times the bonus.

Live bets needed = bonus × wagering ÷ weighting $100 × 35 ÷ 10% = $35,000

Expected loss = live bets × house edge $35,000 × 1.06% = $371

Value after losses: −$271

Wagering and weighting are example terms, not a casino's offer; read each casino's game-weighting table. House edges: Wizard of Odds (8-deck baccarat, single- and double-zero roulette).

FAQ

Can I use a casino bonus on live games?

Sometimes. Bonus terms set a weighting per game, and live games can count at a low percentage or not at all. Read the weighting table before you accept.

Which bonus type suits live players?

Compare the live-game restrictions of each bonus type before you choose. Welcome bonuses with live weighting under 100% cost more wagering than they look.

Do no-deposit bonuses work on live tables?

Check the terms before you count on it. A no-deposit bonus can exclude live games, and one that allows them may limit the stake and the winnings.
