Pai Gow is a traditional Chinese gambling game that has spread throughout the world, including to Croatia, where it is popular among casino players. The game is played with 32 domino-style tiles, and each player is dealt four tiles. The goal of the game is to arrange two combinations of tiles, one with two tiles (a “high” hand) and one with three tiles (a “low” hand), that outrank the banker’s two hands. In Croatia, the most common variant of the game is the one played with dominoes, although there are other variations, such as a card-based version. The game is usually played with four to seven players.
