The Criminal Code (s. 207) lets provinces conduct and manage gaming. Ontario has licensed private online casinos since 4 April 2022 and Alberta since 13 July 2026; elsewhere the legal online option is the provincial site, such as PlayNow or Loto-Québec. The casinos we rank for Canada hold offshore licences and are not registered in Ontario or Alberta.
