How Andar Bahar works
- The dealer shows one card, the joker (also called the game card).
- You bet on Andar (inside, left) or Bahar (outside, right) during the countdown.
- The dealer deals cards one by one, alternating between the two piles.
- The first card of the same rank as the joker ends the round. Suit does not matter. That pile wins.
The deal starts on a fixed side, so that side matches slightly more often. To even this out, some tables pay the side that receives the first card a little less than even money. The exact payouts are in each game's help panel.
Side bets
Live versions add side bets of their own, such as bets on how many cards are dealt before the match or on the joker card itself. Pragmatic Play's version, for example, offers poker-style side bets such as a Straight Flush. Each side bet has its own payout and house edge, so check it in the help panel before you play.
