Ethereum (ETH) payments work differently from cards and e-wallets: you move funds yourself between wallet addresses, and nobody can reverse a transfer. That gives you speed and control, and puts the responsibility for mistakes on you. This guide covers the steps, the costs and the risks.

How to deposit ETH

  1. Check that the casino accepts ETH for players in your country and whether your balance will be held in ETH or converted to a fiat currency.
  2. In the cashier, choose Ethereum and note the network it names (Ethereum mainnet or another network) and any minimum deposit.
  3. Copy the deposit address, or scan the QR code, into your wallet. Check the first and last characters after pasting.
  4. Send the amount and pay the network fee your wallet shows.
  5. Wait for the casino to credit the deposit after the required confirmations.

Deposits below the minimum, or sent on a different network from the one named, may never be credited.

How to withdraw ETH

Request a withdrawal in the cashier and paste your own wallet address. The casino reviews the request, then sends the funds; the pending time is set by the casino, not the blockchain. Many casinos will only pay crypto out to players who deposited with crypto, and identity checks apply as with any method at a licensed casino.

Fees and price risk

You pay an Ethereum network fee (gas) on deposits, and the casino may charge its own fee or pass on the network fee on withdrawals. Gas varies with how busy the network is, so the same transfer can cost very different amounts on different days. Some casinos also accept ETH on lower-fee networks; use them only if the cashier names that network.

If your casino balance stays in ETH, its value in your currency changes with the ETH price. A win can shrink, or a loss grow, before you withdraw. Casinos that convert on deposit remove that risk but apply an exchange rate.

Advantages and disadvantages

AdvantagesDisadvantages
Deposits credited after network confirmation, any time of dayTransfers can't be reversed or charged back
Same method for deposits and withdrawalsNetwork fees vary and can be high when the network is busy
No card details shared with the casinoPrice swings change the value of your balance
Control of your own walletMistakes with addresses or networks can lose funds for good
Not accepted by many licensed casinos, and limited legal protection at offshore ones

Licensing and safety

Many regulated markets do not allow casinos to accept crypto, so crypto casinos are often licensed in offshore jurisdictions with weaker player protection, or not licensed at all. Check the licence and whether it covers your country before you deposit; see live casino licensing. Because transfers are final, choose a casino you trust before you send anything, and keep records of transaction hashes in case of a dispute.
