Live Sic Bo Uncovered: Best Betting Options & Payouts

In live Sic Bo you bet on three dice. Small (4–10) and Big (11–17) pay 1:1 and lose on any triple, which gives them the lowest house edge at 2.78% (97.22% RTP on our game pages). Every other bet costs more, from 7.87% on single numbers to around 16–19% on triples, doubles and some totals, depending on the payout your table offers.

How live Sic Bo works

A dealer shakes three dice in a covered shaker, often under a glass dome with automatic shaking, and the result is shown on camera. You bet before the shake on totals, specific numbers or combinations. There are no decisions after the bet, so the only skill is choosing bets with a lower house edge.

Multiplier versions

Evolution's Super Sic Bo and Pragmatic Play's Mega Sic Bo add random multipliers to some bets each round. To pay for them, the base payouts on those bets are lower than on a standard table. Our game pages list 97.22% RTP for both, which is the Small and Big figure; multiplier bets return less. Standard tables include Pragmatic Play Live Sic Bo and Playtech Live Sic Bo.

A sensible betting approach

  • Use Small and Big as your main bets.
  • Check the payout on totals and triples before betting; one step lower can double the edge.
  • Keep long shots like specific triples to small, fixed amounts.
  • Past rolls do not affect the next one, so streak tables on screen do not help.

Questions and answers

What is the best bet in live Sic Bo?

Small or Big. They pay 1:1 and win 48.61% of the time, a 2.78% house edge, the lowest on the table.

Why do Small and Big lose on triples?

Triples are the casino's edge on those bets. Without the triple rule they would be fair 50/50 bets.

What does a specific triple pay?

Usually 150:1 or 180:1, depending on the game. At 180:1 the house edge is 16.20%; at 150:1 it is 30.09%.

Is there a Sic Bo strategy?

No strategy changes the odds. Choose low-edge bets and control your stake.
