Three Card Poker (or ‘Triple Card Poker’) is a popular Live Casino game that is played against the dealer. The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards with no jokers and is often more engaging and interactive than the virtual alternatives due to the presence of an experienced croupier. To begin the game, players must place a bet prior to the cards being dealt.
Once the game begins, each player is dealt three cards and the croupier also receives three cards. The cards are placed face down in front of each player and the croupier reveals their cards. Players must then make a decision based on their cards and the croupier’s cards. Each player has four options – fold, raise, call or check. If a player folds, they forfeit their bet and leave the hand. If a player raises, they can increase their initial bet. If a player calls, their bet remains the same. If a player checks, their bet is reduced to zero.
Once the betting round is complete, the croupier reveals their cards and the winner is determined based on the strength of their hand. The best hand is a three of a kind, followed by a straight flush, a straight, a flush, two pairs and a pair. If the croupier’s hand is higher than the player’s hand, the player will lose their bet. In the event of a tie, the player’s bet is returned.
