Texas Holdem is a relatively simple game to learn. The basic rules are as follows: each player is dealt two hole cards and then five community cards are dealt in the middle of the table. The players must then make the best five-card hand out of the seven available cards. The player with the highest hand at the end of the round wins.
In a live dealer game, the action proceeds clockwise around the table. The player to the left of the dealer must post the small blind, and the player to the left of the small blind must post the big blind. The blinds are predetermined amounts of money that must be bet before the cards are dealt.
After the blinds have been posted, the dealer deals two cards face down to each player. The players then take turns betting, with the player to the left of the big blind going first. If a player chooses not to bet, they can ācheckā, which means they can stay in the hand without betting.
After the betting round is complete, the dealer will then deal three community cards in the middle of the table. This is called the āflopā. The players then take turns betting again, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
Once the betting round is complete, the dealer will then deal two more community cards, called the āturnā and the āriverā. The players then take turns betting again, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
Once the betting round is complete, the players will then reveal their hole cards and the player with the best five-card hand wins the pot.
