Roulette is a game of chance and the objective of the game is to correctly predict where the ball will land when the wheel is spun. Players make their bet by placing chips on the table. When everyone has placed their bets, the live dealer spins the wheel and the ball is released onto the spinning wheel. Once the ball has settled on the wheel and the winning number has been determined, the dealer announces the winning number and color and all losing bets are collected.
The basic rules of roulette are the same across different versions of the game. The wheel is usually divided into 37 or 38 numbered slots, with the numbers ranging between 0 and 36. In some versions, the wheel also has a double zero (00) slot, which increases the house edge. A standard roulette wheel is divided into either red or black, alternating between red and black.
