Punto Banco is played in Jordan according to the same basic rules as in the rest of the world - the only difference being the number of decks used. In Jordan, Punto Banco is usually played with eight decks of cards. The game follows a strict set of rules, with the aim of the game being to get a higher card total than the dealer. If the total of the player's cards is less than or equal to five, then the player can draw a third card. If the total of the player's cards is six or seven, then the player must stand. The dealer must draw a card if the total of his cards is five or less and must stand if the total is six or seven.
