The rules of blackjack in Haiti are very similar to the game played in other countries. The goal is to attain a hand with a total value of 21 or as close to 21 as possible without going over. The player competes against the dealer, and the player with the highest total without going over 21, wins the hand.
Each player and the dealer is dealt two cards face up. The player's cards are used to calculate the total hand value, and the dealer's cards are used to calculate the dealer's total hand value.
The player can stand, hit, split, or double down in order to increase their hand value. When the player stands, the hand ends. When the player hits, they receive an additional card. When the player splits, they can split their cards into two hands. When the player doubles down, they can double their bet and receive one more card.
Once all players have finished playing their hands, the dealer reveals their second card and plays their hand according to specific rules. If the dealer's hand is 17 or higher, they must stand. If the dealer's hand is 16 or lower, they must hit.
In the case of a tie, the player's bet is returned.
