The rules of Baccarat can be different depending on which variation you’re playing and the country you’re located in. Mongolian Baccarat specifically follows the rules of North American Baccarat. This kind of Baccarat also goes by the name Chemin De Fer or Punto Banco. North American Baccarat only has three possible outcomes in each hand: either the Player wins, the Banker wins, or the round is tied. In Mongolian Baccarat, it’s best to go with the Banker – statistically, the Banker wins 54.62% while the Player only wins 44.62%.
In Punto Banco, the two hands – Player and Banker – are dealt from a standard 52-card deck with two additional cards. Six decks are typically used when playing, but two to eight decks can be utilized in any given game. The play begins with each player having two cards face-up in front of him or her. A third card could be drawn in certain situations, and the outcome is decided based on the sum of the two hands. The winning hand is determined by a special set of rules.
