Baccarat is considered a classic game in casinos everywhere, including in Laos, due to its simplicity and exciting game play. It is played with six decks of cards, where each card holds a value of between 0 and 9. The aim is to accurately predict which of two hands will have the highest total value out of all the cards in play. The two hands are referred to as the Player and the Banker, and the totals are determined by the sum of the cards in each one.
The winner of the game is the hand with the highest total value, although the rules state that if either the Banker or the Player hand has a value of 8 or 9, the player has the option of drawing another card or standing on their current hand. This game can be played between two or more players and one dealer; while the players are betting against each other, the dealer acts as a “house.”
