The game of Baccarat consists of a few variations, but there are three core variants that are widely played in Egypt. These variants include: European Baccarat, American Baccarat, and Super 6.
European Baccarat
The European version of Baccarat is the most widely-played variant in Egypt. This version is played with eight cards, and the object of the game is to create a two- or three-card hand whose combined value is closer to 9 than the dealer's hand. The European variant is considered to be the more relaxed version of the game, with no specific rules nor strategies. That said, some Egyptian players still use various strategies to win at European Baccarat.
American Baccarat
American Baccarat, often called "Chemin de Fer," is a variation of the classic European game. This variant is played with six cards, and the object of the game is the same as in the classic version, i.e. to create a two- or three-card hand whose combined value is closer to 9 than the dealer's hand. Aside from this, American Baccarat has some other distinguishing rules that make it a little more challenging. For instance, players are allowed to communicate with each other while the game is taking place, and must make decisions on how to act on their hands.
Super 6
The Super 6 variant of Baccarat is only offered at select casinos in Egypt. This variant is played with four cards, and the object of the game is to create a three- or four-card hand whose combined value is closer to 9 than the dealer's hand. Unlike the other variants, Super 6 also contains bonus payouts that offer players the chance to double or even triple their initial wager.
