Nicaragua is a large Central American country surrounded by Honduras and Costa Rica. It also shares the coast with the Caribbean Sea and North Pacific Ocean. People usually speak Spanish in the country and make purchases with the Nicaraguan córdoba oro (NIO). Managua is the capital and second-largest metropolitan area city in Central America.
The country made education a major priority because Nicaragua has a large population of young people. Tourism continues to form a large amount of the economy. People visit cities for nightlife, hike, visit volcanoes, surf, swim, and view the diversity of wildlife in many of the nation's nature reserves.
